52 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abū ʿAbd Allah al-ʿAjlī narrated to me; ʿAmr ibn Muhammad narrated to us; from Abū Maʿshar, who said: ʿAlī—may Allah be pleased with him—was killed on Friday, with thirteen nights still remaining in the month of Ramadan of the year 40 AH. He was slain in Kūfah by ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muljam al-Murādī.
