The Death of ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib—may Allah have mercy on him

51 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Saʿīd ibn Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd al-Umawī narrated to us; his father narrated to me; from Muhammad ibn Isḥāq, who said: ʿAlī was struck during Ramadan of the year 40 AH, on the nineteenth night, and he passed away on the twenty-first night of that same month.
