34 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abū Khaythamah narrated to us; Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from Sufyān, from ʿImrān ibn Ẓubyān, from Ḥakīm ibn Saʿd Abū Taḥyā, who said: ⦗43⦘ They said to ʿAli, “If we were to seize your killer, should we show kindness to his family?” He replied, “Bih, bih! That would be sheer injustice—life for life.”
