133 – Zaynab the Younger, daughter of ʿAli, was married to Muhammad ibn ʿAqil ibn Abi Talib. She bore him ʿAbd Allah—about whom reports are transmitted, and through whom the descendants of ʿAqil have continued—along with ʿAbd al-Rahman and al-Qasim, the two sons of Muhammad. After Muhammad’s death, Kathir ibn al-ʿAbbas married her, and she bore him Kulthum, who was later wed to Jaʿfar ibn Tamam ibn al-ʿAbbas. The progeny of Kathir and Tamam, the two sons of al-ʿAbbas ibn ʿAbd al-Muttalib, has since died out.
