109 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Mahdī ibn Ḥafṣ narrated to me; ⦗92⦘ ʿAbdah ibn Sulaymān narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Abī Sulaymān, who said:

I asked ʿAṭāʾ, “Was there anyone among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who was more versed in jurisprudence than ʿAlī?” He answered, “No, by Allah, none that I am aware of.”
