100 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Yusuf ibn Mūsā narrated to us; ʿUbayd Allah ibn Mūsā narrated to us; he said: Sakin ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz informed us; Hafs ibn Khālid ibn Jābir narrated from his father, from his grandfather, who said:

When ʿAlī was killed, al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī rose, praised Allah and extolled Him, then said, “By Allah, tonight you have killed a man on a night when the Qur’an was sent down, ⦗86⦘ on which Jesus son of Mary was raised up, and on which Joshua son of Nun, the attendant of Moses, was slain.”
