Ijma' as-Salaf fi al-I'tiqadAl-Kirmani

— they claim to reserve love for the family of Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—(1) to the exclusion of other people (2), yet they are lying. On the contrary, they are the very ones (3) who harbor a special hatred for the family of Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—(4) more than anyone else. The true partisans of the family of Muhammad (5) are none but the God-fearing, the people of the Sunnah and the transmitted tradition, wherever they may be: those who love the family of Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—and all the Companions of Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—, who never speak of any one of them (6) with evil, fault, or deficiency. Whoever speaks ill of any of the Companions of Muhammad—upon him be peace—or impugns him (7) with some defect (8), or dissociates himself (9) from any of them, or reviles them, or even insinuates reviling or cursing them (10), is a Rāfiḍī, an opposer, vile, and astray (11).

  • As for the Khārijites (12), they have broken away from the religion, abandoned the community, and gone far afield
