- Paradise has already been created together with everything it contains, and the Fire has likewise been created with everything it contains (1). Allah—Mighty and Majestic—brought them both into existence (2), and thereafter (3) He created the creatures for their sake. Neither they nor anything within them will ever perish.
So if an innovator or (4) a heretic argues by citing Allah’s—blessed and exalted is He—statement (5), “Every thing will perish except His Face” (6), or by appealing to other (7) ambiguous passages of the Quran, say (8) to him: Everything (9) for which Allah (10) has decreed extinction and destruction will indeed perish, whereas Paradise and Hell were created (11) to endure forever, not to disappear or be destroyed; they belong to the Hereafter, not to this world.
= “O people of Hell, everlasting life with no death!” He then recited: “And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter is settled while they are heedless,” meaning those heedless folk of this world, “and they do not believe” (Surah Maryam, 19:39).
