The Pen is real; with it Allah wrote the measure of everything and recorded it in the Register—so blessed and exalted is our Lord (1).

Intercession on the Day of Resurrection is real: some people will intercede for others so that they do not enter the Fire, and another group will be released from the Fire after they had already entered it (2) through the intercession of the intercessors (3). A further group will be brought out of the Fire by Allah’s mercy after He keeps them there for as long as He wills (4). Yet others will remain in the Fire forever (5); they are the people of polytheism, denial, obstinate rejection, and unbelief in Allah, the Mighty and Majestic (6).

On the Day of Resurrection, death will be slaughtered between Paradise and Hell (7).

(6) Supplied from T and H.
(7) The evidence for this is the Prophet’s saying, peace and blessings be upon him: “Death will be brought in the form of a piebald ram. A herald will call out: ‘O people of Paradise!’ and they will crane their necks and look. He will ask, ‘Do you recognize this?’ They will reply, ‘Yes, it is death,’ for all of them will have seen it. Then he will call out: ‘O people of Hell!’ and they too will crane their necks and look. He will ask, ‘Do you recognize this?’ They will reply, ‘Yes, it is death,’ for all of them will have seen it. Then it will be slaughtered. After that he will announce: ‘O people of Paradise, everlasting life with no death…’
