none can overstep it (10), and none of them can evade the will of Allah, mighty and majestic is He (1). No (2) one can surpass His decree (3); rather, every one of them is proceeding toward that for which He created him, and is bound (4) to fall into what He has predestined for him (5), without fail (6). That is absolute justice from Him—exalted and glorified be our Lord.

• Adultery, theft, drinking wine, unlawful killing, consuming forbidden wealth (7), idolatry—and sins (8) (9) of every sort—take place by Allah’s decree and predestination (10). No created being has any argument to bring against Allah; on the contrary, Allah has the decisive argument against His creatures (11): {He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned} (12).
