84—He recites aloud in the nighttime prayers.
85—He recites silently in the daytime prayers, except for the Friday, Eid2, eclipse, and rain-seeking prayers, in which he recites aloud3.
86—He then pronounces the takbīr for bowing,
87—places his hands on his knees,
88—keeps his head level with his back,
89—and says, “Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent”4, repeating it,
1. The *mufassal* section extends from Sūrat Qāf to the end of the Quran. Its long portion runs from Qāf to Amma, its middle portion from Amma to al-Duhā, and its short portion from al-Duhā to al-Nās.

سُورَةً تَكُونُ:
أَ- فِي اَلْفَجْرِ: مِنْ طُوَالِ الْمُفَصَّل١،
ب- وفي المغرب: من قصاره،
جـ- وفي الباقي: من أوساطه.
٨٤- يجهر في القراءة ليلًا،
٨٥- ويُسِرُّ بِهَا نَهَارًا، إِلَّا اَلْجُمْعَةَ وَالْعِيدَ٢، وَالْكُسُوفَ وَالِاسْتِسْقَاءَ، فَإِنَّهُ يَجْهَرُ بِهَا٣،
٨٦- ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ لِلرُّكُوعِ،
٨٧- وَيَضَعُ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ،
٨٨- وَيَجْعَلُ رَأْسَهُ حِيَالَ ظهره،
٨٩- ويقول: سبحان ربي العظيم٤، ويكرِّرُه،
