THE BOOK OF PURIFICATION 1
3—The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “Islam is built upon five: testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing prayer, giving zakat, performing pilgrimage to the House, and fasting Ramadan.” 2 Agreed upon.
