in receiving what is due to him or her1.

545—She is required to:

a. Obey him with regard to marital intimacy.

b. Refrain from going out or traveling except with his permission.

c. Undertake baking, kneading, cooking, and similar household tasks.

546—He is responsible for providing her with maintenance and clothing according to what is customary.

Allah Most High says: “Live with them honorably” [Women: 19].

A hadith states: “Treat women well” 2.

Another hadith states: “The best of you are those who are best to their families” 3.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses to come, the angels curse her until morning.” Agreed upon4.

547—He must treat his wives equally in the rotation, maintenance, clothing, and every other matter in which he is capable of maintaining equality.

A hadith states: “Whoever has two wives and inclines toward one of them will come on the Day of Resurrection with one side of his body leaning.” Agreed

بحقه١. ٥٤٥- ويلزمها: أ- طاعته في الاستمتاع. ب- وعدم الخروج والسفر إلا بإذنه. ج- والقيام بالخبز والعجن والطبخ ونحوها. ٥٤٦- وعليه نفقتها وكسوتها بالمعروف. كما قال تعالى: ﴿وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ﴾ [النساء: ١٩] . وفي الحديث: "اسْتَوصُوا بِالنِّسَاءِ خَيرًا" ٢. وَفِيهِ: "خَيرُكُمْ خَيرُكُمْ لأَهْلِهِ" ٣. وَقَالَ ﷺ: "إِذَا دَعَا الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَأَبَتْ أَنْ تَجِيءَ لَعَنَتْهَا الْمَلائِكَةُ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ" مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ٤. ٥٤٧- وَعَلَيْهِ: أَنْ يَعْدِلَ بَيْنَ زَوْجَاتِهِ فِي القسْم، وَالنَّفَقَةِ، وَالْكِسْوَةِ، وَمَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَلْعَدْلِ. وَفِي اَلْحَدِيثِ: "مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ فَمَالَ إِلَى إِحْدَاهُمَا، جَاءَ يَومَ القِيَامَةِ وَشِقُّهُ مَائِلٌ" متفق
