405—The hadith states: “Pay the laborer his wages before his sweat dries.” Narrated by Ibn Mājah1.
(1) Recorded by Ibn Mājah (2443) and al-Bayhaqī (6/121). Al-Mundhirī states in *al-Targhīb* (3/58): “In sum, although this text is unusual, it gains strength through its numerous chains of transmission. Allah knows best.” Al-Manāwī made a similar observation in *Fayd al-Qadīr*, and al-Albānī graded it authentic in *al-Irwāʾ* (1498).
٤٠٥- وفي الحديث: "أعطوا الأجير أجره قبل أن يجفَّ عرقه".

١ أخرجه ابن ماجة "٢٤٤٣"، والبيهقي "١٢١/٦"، قال المنذري في الترغيب "٥٨/٣": "وبالجملة فهذا المتن مع غرابته يكتسب بكثرة طرقه قوة، والله أعلم" وذكر نحوه المناوي في "فيض القدير"، وصححه الألباني "الإرواء ١٤٩٨".
