369—Whoever is wealthy should abstain, while whoever is poor may consume according to what is reasonable—namely, the lesser of the customary wage for comparable service and what is sufficient for his needs1. And Allah knows best.

٣٦٩- وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَتَعَفَّفْ، وَمَنْ كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ: (وَهُوَ اَلْأَقَلُّ مِنْ أجرةِ مِثْلِهِ أو كفايته) ١. والله أعلم.
