CHAPTER ON ADVANCE-PAYMENT SALES1
345—An advance-payment sale is valid for anything that can be precisely specified by description, provided that:
1—All the attributes by which its price varies are precisely specified.
2—Its delivery date is stated.
(1) Linguistically, *salam* means giving; technically, it is the sale of an item defined by description and owed as a liability, in exchange for consideration paid immediately.
بَابُ السَّلَمِ١
٣٤٥- يَصِحُّ اَلسَّلَمُ فِي كُلِّ مَا يَنْضَبِطُ بِالصِّفَةِ:
١- إِذَا ضَبَطَهُ بِجَمِيعِ صِفَاتِهِ اَلَّتِي يختلف بها الثمن.
٢- وذكر أجله.
١ السَّلَم لغة: الإعطاء، واصطلاحا: بيع موصوف في الذمة ببدل يُعْطى عاجلًا.
