THE PILLARS AND OBLIGATORY ACTS OF HAJJ

274—Even if the pilgrim confined himself to:
A—The four pillars, namely:
1—Entering the state of ihram;
2—Standing at Arafah;
3—Performing tawāf;
4—Performing sa‘y.
B—The obligatory acts, namely:
1—Entering the state of ihram at the designated mīqāt;
2—Remaining at Arafah until sunset;
3—Spending the Night of Sacrifice at Muzdalifah1;
4—Spending the nights of the Days of Tashrīq at Minā;
5—Stoning the Jamarāt;
6—Shaving or shortening the hair2;
that would suffice for him.
275—The difference between omitting a pillar of Hajj and omitting an obligatory act is:
(1) The obligatory overnight stay must continue into part of the second half of the night. *Nūr al-Basā’ir*, p. 31.
(2) The seventh obligatory act is the farewell tawāf. *Nūr al-Basā’ir*, p. 31.
أَرْكَانُ اَلْحَجِّ وَوَاجِبَاتُهُ

٢٧٤- وَلَوْ اِقْتَصَرَ اَلْحَاجُّ عَلَى:
أ- اَلْأَرْكَانِ اَلْأَرْبَعَةِ اَلَّتِي هِيَ:
١- اَلْإِحْرَامُ،
٢- وَالْوُقُوفُ بِعَرَفَةَ،
٣- وَالطَّوَافُ،
٤- وَالسَّعْيُ.
ب- وَالْوَاجِبَاتِ اَلَّتِي هِيَ:
١- اَلْإِحْرَامُ مِنْ اَلْمِيقَاتِ،
٢- وَالْوُقُوفُ بِعَرَفَةَ إِلَى اَلْغُرُوبِ،
٣- وَالْمَبِيتُ لَيْلَةَ اَلنَّحْرِ بِمُزْدَلِفَةَ١،
٤- وَلَيَالِي أَيَّامِ اَلتَّشْرِيقِ بِمِنًى،
٥- وَرَمْيُ اَلْجِمَارِ،
٦- وَالْحَلْقُ أَوْ اَلتَّقْصِيرُ٢، لأَجْزَأَهُ ذَلِكَ.
٢٧٥- وَالْفَرْقُ بَيْنَ تَرْكِ اَلرُّكْنِ فِي اَلْحَجِّ، وترك الواجب:
١ والمبيت الواجب إلى جزء من النصف الثاني من الليل. "نور البصائر، ص: ٣١".
