254—He also said: “Take the pre-dawn meal, for there is blessing in the pre-dawn meal.” Agreed upon1.

255—He also said: “When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates. If he cannot find any, let him break it with water, for it is purifying.” Reported by the Five2.

256—The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: “Whoever does not give up false speech, acting upon it, and foolish conduct—Allah has no need for him to give up his food and drink.” Reported by al-Bukhārī3.

257—He also said: “If anyone dies owing fasts, his guardian should fast on his behalf.” Agreed upon4.

258—He was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafa, and he replied: “It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.”

259—He was asked about fasting on Ashura, and he replied: “It expiates the sins of the preceding year.”

260—He was asked about fasting on Monday, and he replied: “That is the day on which I was born and on which I was commissioned as a Prophet—or on which revelation was sent down to me.” Reported by

٢٥٤- وقال: "تسحروا، فإن في السحور بركة" مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ١. ٢٥٥- وَقَالَ: "إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى ماء، فإنه طهور" رواه الخمسة٢. ٢٥٦- وَقَالَ ﷺ: "مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ اَلزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ، وَالْجَهْلَ فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ فِي أَنْ يدعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ" رَوَاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ٣. ٢٥٧- وَقَالَ: "مَنْ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ صِيَامٌ، صَامَ عَنْهُ وليُّه" مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ٤. ٢٥٨- وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ، فَقَالَ: "يُكَفِّرُ اَلسَّنَةَ اَلْمَاضِيَةَ، والباقية". ٢٥٩- وسئل عن صوم عَاشُورَاءَ، فَقَالَ: "يُكَفِّرُ اَلسَّنَةَ اَلْمَاضِيَةَ". ٢٦٠- وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ اَلِاثْنَيْنِ، فَقَالَ: "ذَاكَ يَوْمٌ وُلِدْتُ فِيهِ، وَبُعِثْتُ فِيهِ، أَوْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ فِيهِ" رواه
