Chapter on Friday Prayer
162—Anyone for whom congregational prayer is obligatory is also obligated to attend Friday prayer, provided that he is permanently resident in a built-up settlement.1
(1) The shaykh explained that the correct view is that Friday prayer and congregational prayer are obligatory even for slaves, since the revealed texts are general in scope and include them, and there is no evidence excluding slaves. As for the hadith: =

١٦٢- كُلُّ مَنْ لَزِمَتْهُ اَلْجَمَاعَةُ لَزِمَتْهُ اَلْجُمْعَةُ إِذَا كان مستوطنًا ببناء١.
