109- Shaving is prescribed for men only; women are required merely to trim their hair, for the Messenger ﷺ said, “Women are not to shave; rather, they are only to shorten.”¹ She should gather her hair and cut off approximately the length of a fingertip.²
110- It is recommended for the imam to deliver a sermon at Minā³ on the Day of Sacrifice, between the stoning sites,⁴ after the sun has climbed well into the forenoon,⁵ instructing the people in their rites.⁶
(1) The hadith is authentic; it is recorded in al-Ahadith al-Sahihah, no. 605, and I have also cited it in Sahih Abi Dawud, no. 1732.
(2) Shaykh al-Islam says: “If one shortens all of the hair, trimming about the length of a fingertip—whether a little less or more—the woman should not cut more than that, whereas the man may shorten as much as he wishes.”

١٠٩- والحلق خاص بالرجال دون النساء وإنما عليهن التقصير لقوله ﷺ: "ليس على النساء حلق إنما على النساء التقصير" ١، فتجمع شعرها فتقص منه قدر الأنملة٢.
١١٠- ويسن للإمام أن يخطب يوم النحر بمنى٣ بين الجمرات٤ حين ارتفاع الضحى٥، يعلم الناس مناسكهم٦.
