Entering into iḥrām for Hajj on the Day of Tarwiyah:
58 – When the Day of Tarwiyah arrives—the eighth of Dhu al-Ḥijjah—he assumes iḥrām and pronounces the talbiyah for Hajj, repeating exactly what he did when entering iḥrām for the ʿumrah at the miqāt: bathing, applying fragrance, putting on the waist-wrapper and mantle, and reciting the talbiyah continuously until he has finished stoning the ʿAqabah pillar.
59 – He enters iḥrām from the very place where he is staying; even the residents of Mecca begin their iḥrām from within Mecca itself.
60 – He then proceeds to Minā, performs the ẓuhr prayer there, and remains for the night, praying all the obligatory prayers in shortened form but without combining them.
