and whoever summons others to it is led to a straight path; whoever, out of arrogance, abandons it—Allah breaks him; and whoever looks for guidance anywhere else, Allah lets him stray.
Allah the Exalted says: “Whenever guidance comes to you from Me, then whoever follows My guidance will never go astray nor fall into misery. But whoever turns away from My remembrance will have a constricted life, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall raise him blind. He will say, ‘My Lord, why have You raised me blind when I once could see?’ He will be told, ‘Just as Our signs came to you and you forgot them, so today you yourself are forgotten.’” ⦗Ṭā Hā: 123–126⦘
He also says: “There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book by which Allah guides all who seek His good pleasure to the paths of peace, brings them out of darkness into light by His permission, and guides them to a straight path.” ⦗al-Mā’idah: 15–16⦘
And He says: “Alif Lām Rā. A Book We have sent down to you so that, by their Lord’s leave, you may bring mankind out of darkness into light, to the path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy—Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.” ⦗Ibrāhīm: 1–2⦘
And He says: “Thus We have revealed to you a spirit from Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor what faith was, but We made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And truly you guide to a straight path—the path of Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Surely to Allah all matters return.” ⦗ash-Shūrā: 52–53⦘
