After the Shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—passed away, many scholars rose to dispel these misconceptions and authored substantial works on the subject, the most renowned of which are:
-
Miṣbāḥ al-ẓalām fī al-radd ʿalā man kadhaba ʿalā al-shaykh al-imām wa nasaba ilayhi takfīr ahl al-islām (The Lamp of Darkness: A Refutation of Those Who Fabricate Lies against the Shaykh-Imam and Accuse Him of Excommunicating the Muslims), one volume, by Shaykh ʿAbd al-Laṭīf ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥasan of the Āl al-Shaykh family—may Allah have mercy on him.
-
Maʿārij al-qubūl (The Stairways of Acceptance), one volume, by Shaykh al-Ḥusayn ibn Mahdī al-Nuʿmī, a Yemeni scholar.
-
Ghāyat al-amānī fī al-radd ʿalā al-Nabhānī (The Utmost Hopes: A Refutation of al-Nabhānī), two volumes, by Shaykh Maḥmūd Shukrī al-Ālūsī, a scholar from Iraq.
-
Ṣiyānat al-insān ʿan waswasat al-shaykh Daḥlān (Safeguarding Humanity from the Whisperings of Shaykh Daḥlān), one volume, by Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Bashīr al-Sahsawānī al-Hindī.
Thus does Allah—exalted is He—continually raise up supporters of the truth in every age, through whom His proof is established against His creation. To Allah belong all praise and bounty, and may blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions.
