Fiqh al-Adiyah wa-al-AdhkarAbd al-Razzaq ibn Abd al-Muhsin al-Badr

The one who consistently observes this supplication attains this gracious promise, immense reward, and abundant recompense only because he begins and ends his day by affirming Allah’s oneness in His Lordship and divinity, acknowledging his servitude to Him, recognizing His gracious favor, and acknowledging His blessings. He also reflects upon his own faults and shortcomings and seeks pardon and forgiveness from the All-Forgiving, all while standing before Him in humility, submission, and utter brokenness. These are sublime meanings and noble qualities with which one begins and ends the day. Whoever embodies them and consistently observes them is worthy of pardon and forgiveness, deliverance from the Fire, and admission into Paradise1. We ask Allah, the Most Generous, for His bounty.
