What is meant by his words, “We seek nearness to You through our Prophet’s uncle,” is: through his supplication.

All three of these forms of seeking nearness are therefore prescribed, as indicated by the revealed texts. As for other forms that have no basis and no evidence establishing their legitimacy, a Muslim should avoid them. Allah is the One who grants success.
