for truly embodying it, He, Glorified is He, has likewise described the sincere believers and the righteous servants of Allah by this quality. The Exalted says: “They forsake their beds, calling upon their Lord in fear and hope, and spend from what We have provided them. No soul knows what delights have been hidden away for them as a reward for what they used to do.” 1 He also says: “Keep yourself patiently with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face.” 2 And in describing the people of Paradise when they enter it in peace and security, He, Glorified is He, says: “Rivers flow beneath them in Gardens of Bliss. Their prayer therein will be, ‘Glory be to You, O Allah!’ Their greeting therein will be, ‘Peace!’ And the conclusion of their prayer will be, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds.’” 3.

Supplication is therefore the soul of this religion, the provision of the God-fearing believers, and the hallmark of humility and submission before the Lord of all worlds. May Allah make us and you among those devoted to it who truly embody it. He is indeed All-Hearing and Responsive.
