Renounce all claim to might and power—
What a treasure of Paradise you shall gain!
Entrust your affairs to Allah, that you may
Sleep and wake in a garden of bliss.
If calamity strikes, hope in none
But your God, the Lord of bounty and grace.
Persevere in goodness and strive to
Fulfill the obligatory duties and the Sunnah.
Keep your heart pure toward the Muslims,
Free of rancor, malice, and suspicion.1
We ask Allah, the Most Generous, to grant us success in every good that He loves and is pleased with, and to protect us from error in word and deed. We have no might or power except through Him. He is sufficient for us and the best Disposer of affairs.
