that encompasses all things; hearing that encompasses every voice; sight that takes in all visible things; mercy that embraces every creature; perfect sovereignty, from which not even a single particle escapes; absolute and complete self-sufficiency in every respect; consummate wisdom, whose effects are manifest throughout creation; all-prevailing might in every respect and from every standpoint; and perfect, effectual words that no righteous or wicked being among all creatures can overstep.
He is One, with no partner in His lordship or divinity, and none resembles Him in His essence, attributes, or acts. No one shares with Him even a single particle of His dominion. Glorified is He, the Sustainer of the heavens and the earths, the God of the first and the last. He remains described by attributes of majesty and qualities of perfection, exalted above their opposites—all imperfections and defects.
He is the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining Sustainer: because His life and self-subsistence are perfect, neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. He is the Sovereign of the heavens and the earth: because His sovereignty is perfect, no one may intercede with Him except by His permission. He is the Knower of all things: because His knowledge is perfect, He knows what lies before created beings and what lies behind them. No leaf falls without His knowledge, and no particle moves except by His permission. He knows the subtle stirrings of thoughts within hearts, which even an angel cannot perceive, and He knows what will arise from them when even the heart itself is unaware.
He is the All-Seeing: because His sight is perfect, He sees every minute detail of the tiny ant’s formation—its limbs, flesh, blood, brain, and veins. He sees it crawling across solid rock on a pitch-dark night, and He sees what lies beneath the seven earths just as He sees what lies above the seven heavens. He is the All-Hearing: whispered and openly spoken words are alike in His hearing. His hearing encompasses every voice, so they do not become confused
