their Lord; judgment will be passed between them in truth, and it will be said, “All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all worlds.” 1 Allah Most High also says: “Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds—their Lord will guide them by virtue of their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in Gardens of Bliss. Their prayer therein will be, ‘Glory be to You, O Allah,’ and their greeting therein will be, ‘Peace.’ Their prayer will conclude with, ‘All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all worlds.’” 2
Thus, all praise belongs to Him, glorified be He, from beginning to end. To Him belongs all praise in this world and the Hereafter—that is, for all that He has created and all that He shall create. As He, Glorified be He, says: “He is Allah; there is no god worthy of worship except Him. To Him belongs all praise in this world and the Hereafter. All judgment belongs to Him, and to Him you will be returned.” 3 He, Glorified be He, also says: “All praise is due to Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. To Him belongs all praise in the Hereafter, and He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.” 4 He, Glorified be He, is therefore worthy of praise for all of this, just as the worshipper says, “O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs praise, filling the heavens, filling the earth, and filling whatever else You will.”

He praised Himself for His lordship over all worlds, for being alone in His divinity, and for His life. He also praised Himself for being far above any attribute unbefitting His perfection: taking a child or a partner, or taking any of His creatures as an ally out of need for him. This is expressed in His words: “And say: All praise is due to Allah, who has not taken a child, has no partner in His dominion, and has no ally out of”
