of Might, far above what they ascribe to Him. Peace be upon the messengers, and all praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.” 1 And His words, Exalted is He: “Glory be to Allah, far above what they associate with Him.” 2 And His words, Exalted is He: “So glorify Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning. To Him belongs all praise in the heavens and on earth, in the late afternoon and when you reach midday.” 3 And His words, Exalted is He: “Glory be to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Lord of the Throne, far above what they ascribe to Him.” 4 And His words, Exalted is He: “Their prayer therein will be, ‘Glory be to You, O Allah,’ and their greeting therein will be, ‘Peace.’” 5

These noble Quranic texts, together with other passages of similar meaning in the Book of Allah, demonstrate with the utmost clarity the sublime merit of glorifying Allah, its tremendous importance in the religion, and the fact that it is among the noblest prescribed remembrances and the most beneficial acts of worship that draw one near to Allah, Mighty and Majestic. Glory be to the One who has lavished His blessings upon His servants and decreed mercy upon Himself. Glory and praise be to Him—as numerous as His creation, in accordance with His good pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne, and equal to the ink of His words.

Allah willing, we shall continue explaining the virtue and status of glorifying Allah through what has been related concerning it from the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—who left his nation upon the radiant path and the clear, resplendent way. He—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—was the most knowledgeable of all people about Allah, the most mindful of Him, and the foremost among them in glorifying his Lord, proclaiming His holiness, and declaring Him free of every imperfection. May Allah, His angels, His prophets and messengers, and the righteous among His servants send blessings upon him and upon his family and Companions, and may Allah grant him abundant peace.
