truly upholds “There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah” asks none but Allah, seeks help from none but Allah, relies upon none but Allah, hopes in none but Allah, sacrifices only for Allah, and directs no act of worship to anyone besides Allah. He rejects everything worshipped besides Allah and disavows it before Allah.
How tremendous this matter is, and how plain and clear it is! Yet success lies in Allah’s hand alone, and He alone is the One whose help is sought.
لا إله إلا الله لا يَسأل إلا الله، ولا يستغيث إلا بالله، ولا يتوكّل إلا على الله، ولا يرجو غير الله، ولا يذبح إلا لله، ولا يصرف شيئاً من العبادة لغير الله، ويكفر بجميع ما يُعبد من دون الله، ويبرأ إلى الله من ذلك.
فيا لها من مسألة ما أجلَّها، ويا له من أمر ما أبيَنَه وأوضَحَه، ولكن التوفيق بيد الله وحده، وهو وحده المستعان.
