Let us reiterate: the chapter on exclusion (hajb) is exceedingly important. Anyone who issues legal opinions on the laws of inheritance must master its principles, reflect on its finer points, and apply them to real-life cases, lest he err in his verdict, divert the estates from their lawful course, deprive those who are entitled, and give to those who are not. Allah alone grants success.
