and if anything about its rulings or the causes that make it obligatory remains unclear to him, he should ask, and no sense of bashfulness should hold him back, for Allah is not shy about the truth. The kind of modesty that prevents a person from inquiring about matters of his religion is blameworthy; it is cowardice from Satan, intended to keep a person from perfecting his religion and learning the rulings that are incumbent upon him.
The affair of purification is weighty, and neglecting it is perilous, for the validity of the prayer—the pillar of Islam—rests upon it.
We ask Allah for ourselves and for all Muslims to grant insight into His religion and sincerity toward Him in word and deed.
