The Prophet ﷺ said, “When you resort to ʿīnah transactions, busy yourselves with the tails of cattle, and abandon jihad, Allah will afflict you with humiliation that He will not remove until you return to your religion.”

He also said, “A time will come upon people when they will declare usury permissible by disguising it as a sale.”
