Thus the ʿumrah rites are complete, and the pilgrim comes out of his state of ihram. Whatever had been forbidden during ihram is once again permitted—marital relations, perfume, wearing stitched clothing, clipping the fingernails, trimming the moustache, and plucking the underarm hair should he need to do so. He remains in this released state until the Day of Tarwiyah (8 Dhū al-Ḥijjah), after which he enters ihram for the Hajj, whose details will follow, God willing.
The pilgrim who arrives in Mecca performing qirān (the combined pilgrimage) or ifrād (Hajj alone) performs the Tawaf of Arrival; if he wishes, he may follow it with the saʿy of Hajj. He then stays in ihram until the Day of Sacrifice (10 Dhū al-Ḥijjah), as will be explained later, God willing.
