The Excellence of Deep Understanding in the Religion

Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his Companions, and all who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.

To continue:
Deep understanding of the religion is among the noblest of deeds and is a clear mark of goodness. The Prophet ﷺ said, “When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion.” Such insight yields beneficial knowledge, and upon that knowledge righteous action is built.

Allah the Exalted says, “He is the One who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth” (Quran 9:33). Guidance here refers to beneficial knowledge, while the religion of truth refers to righteous action.

فضل التفقه في الدين فضل التفقه في الدين ... فضل التفقه في الدين الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحابته والتابعين لهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين. وبعد: فإن التفقه في الدين من أفضل الأعمال، وهو علامة الخير: قال ﷺ: "من يرد به خيراً، يفقهه في الدين"، وذلك لأن التفقه في الدين يحصل به العلم النافع الذي يقوم عليه العمل الصالح. قال الله تعالى: ﴿هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقّ﴾ ، فالهدى هو العلم النافع، ودين الحق هو العمل الصالح.
