al-Moulakhas al-FiqhiSalih Al-Fawzan

The scholars are unanimously agreed on this; the later generations have inherited it from the earlier ones, and Muslims have continuously observed it in practice.

In the first rakʿah, after al-Fātiḥah, one recites “Sabbihi sma Rabbika al-Aʿlā” (Surah al-Aʿlā), and in the second rakʿah “Hal atāka ḥadīthu l-Ghāshiyah” (Surah al-Ghāshiyah). Samurah reported: “The Prophet ﷺ used to recite in the two ʿEid prayers ‘Sabbihi sma Rabbika al-Aʿlā’ and ‘Hal atāka ḥadīthu l-Ghāshiyah.’” Aḥmad narrated this.

Alternatively, in the first rakʿah he may recite “Qāf” and “Iqtarabat …”
