From the Prayer of Fear, with its astonishing variations and meticulous organization, we derive several lessons:
• the paramount place of prayer in Islam, and—more specifically—the vital importance of praying in congregation, for neither obligation was lifted even in such perilous circumstances;
• the perfection of this Islamic shariʿah, which legislates an appropriate form for every situation;
• the removal of hardship from this ummah, for the law is marked by ease and is suited to every time and place.

We ask Allah to grant us steadfast adherence to these teachings and to let us die upon them; truly, He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.
