and likewise every obligatory act has a voluntary counterpart of the same kind legislated alongside it: the prescribed prayer, the obligatory fast, the obligatory zakah, and the obligatory pilgrimage. Each of these obligations is accompanied by a voluntary practice of its own type, so that it may compensate for any deficiency and correct any flaw. Such is Allah’s bounty toward His servants: He has diversified the paths of obedience so that He may elevate their ranks and wipe away their sins.

We therefore ask Allah to grant all of us success in doing what He loves and is pleased with. He is indeed All-Hearing, Ever-Responsive.
