Shaykh Taqī al-Dīn (Ibn Taymiyyah) said: “He forbade praying in their pens because they are haunts of devils, just as he forbade praying in the bathhouse for the same reason. Any place that shelters malevolent spirits is even more deserving to be avoided for prayer.”
