Moreover, the reader will inevitably sense certain shortcomings, will certainly come across mistakes I have made, and will perhaps wish I had done some things differently. He may also disagree with me concerning parts of what I have done, said, or concluded. This is only natural: people’s viewpoints differ, the critic’s eye is penetrating, and the one who surveys a work is not the same as the one who toils over it and lives with it.
For that reason, I hope the honorable reader—should he discover an error, notice a flaw or deficiency, or possess anything that might benefit the book and its readers—will kindly draw my attention to it and provide it to me, for by doing so he serves the cause and shares in the good.
Finally, this book—as I pointed out in the study—is one of the valuable works that offer a sound remedy for many of the Muslims’ doctrinal, moral, and behavioral illnesses. Its treatment was not confined to the author’s own time; rather, it addresses many of the issues facing Muslims today, as though it were written for this very age.
May Allah reward its author on behalf of Islam and the Muslims with the best of rewards. I ask Allah to grant success and recompense to me and to everyone who helped publish and serve this book, especially my esteemed teacher Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān, who supervised its verification and enriched it with his remarks and guidance. May blessings, peace, and grace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Completed—praise be to Allah.
