Al-Muṭṭalib ibn Rabīʿah ibn al-Ḥārith reported: “Al-ʿAbbās ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib once entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a state of anger while I was present. The Prophet asked him,
‘What has made you angry?’

Al-Tirmidhī remarked, ‘This ḥadith is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ.’
Aḥmad also narrated it in the Musnad with the same wording through the chain of Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid from Yazīd, and it was likewise transmitted through the chain of Jarīr from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād
