- Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim
Ṣaḥīḥ Imam Muslim ranks immediately after Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī in authenticity. Imam Muslim—may Allah have mercy on him—gave great care to its arrangement: he gathered every report that pertains to a single subject and placed them all together in one location, and he did not repeat any of them elsewhere except for a very small number relative to the book’s size. Although he did not set out formal chapter headings, the collection is effectively organized by topic because he grouped the ḥadiths on each matter in one place.
A further hallmark of Ṣaḥīḥ Imam Muslim is that he preserves each ḥadith with its full chain of transmission and its complete text exactly as it is, without breaking it up.
