without right, and who kill those who call the people to justice—announce to them a painful punishment.” (Qur’an 3:21)

135 – And He, exalted, says: “Go down to any town; there you will have what you asked for. But humiliation and poverty were stamped upon them, and they incurred wrath from Allah—that was because they used to reject Allah’s signs and kill the prophets without right. That, because they disobeyed and habitually transgressed.” (Qur’an 2:61)

136 – And He says: “Had the People of the Book believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, though most of them are defiantly disobedient. They can harm you only with trivial annoyance; and if they fight you, they will turn and flee, then they will not be helped. Disgrace has been laid upon them wherever they are found…” up to His words, “…that is because they defied and were ever transgressing.” (Qur’an 3:110-112)
