He also joined to it another objective of the Sharia: every nation must have a public display in which its members assemble, their strength becomes evident, and their numbers are known. For that reason it is recommended that everyone go out—children, women, those who normally remain in seclusion, and even menstruating women—while the latter keep away from the prayer-ground yet witness the Muslims’ supplication.

For the same reason the Prophet ﷺ would take one route on his way out and return by a different route, so that the people of both roads might observe the Muslims’ power. And since the essence of the feast is adornment, it is recommended to appear in fine

First: the shaving itself, for it constitutes effeminacy, imitation of the unbelievers, and an alteration of Allah’s creation, as I clarified in my book Wedding Etiquette in the Prophetic Sunnah, 6th ed., p. 118.
