The dawn prayer is not shortened during travel; therefore, its Sunnah remains unchanged, unlike the prayers that are shortened when one is on a journey. Witr, moreover, stands on its own like the rest of the night prayer—it is the finest prayer after the prescribed obligations—and the Sunnah of Fajr is, in certain respects, counted among the night prayers. For this reason the Prophet ﷺ would perform it while traveling, for it is independent and the motive for it persists.

The correct view, then, is that there is no fixed, regular Sunnah before Jumuʿah, even if both adhāns were already in place during his lifetime, for it is authentically established from him
