For the single eye of a one-eyed person the full diyah is owed. If that one-eyed person deliberately gouges out the matching sound eye of a fully sighted person, he is liable for the full diyah, yet no retaliation is carried out. Cutting off the hand of someone who has only one hand likewise incurs half the diyah, the same as for anyone else.
