After this introduction, I have adopted the following plan in preparing this fatwa:

First: I compiled a concise biography of the author.

Second: I introduced the fatwa itself by describing the manuscript copy and confirming its attribution to al-Muwaffaq.

Third: I read through the manuscript, corrected its errors, and transcribed it according to modern orthography.

Fourth: I located each Quranic verse in its respective surah, documented the hadiths and historical reports, supplied brief biographies for certain figures, and added explanatory notes wherever needed.

Fifth: I prepared an index of all the verses, hadiths, and reports mentioned in the original work.

I beg Allah—Exalted is He—for guidance and right conduct, that He conceal faults, pardon slips, and grant a good ending. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions.
