—and the enumeration would be lengthy—showing that the Quran is this very Arabic book, made up of its surahs, verses, letters, and words. Could it be, then, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told his community that this was the Quran while knowing it was something else, in order to divert them from the truth, blind them to guidance, and mislead them from the path of Allah?! Never! Rather, the person who utters such a claim and follows this deviation is blind of heart and astray from the right course; anyone who attributes this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has no share in Islam. For Allah, exalted is He, has borne witness on behalf of His Messenger, saying: “And indeed, you guide to a straight path.” 1 He also said: “Indeed, you are surely upon sound guidance.” 2 And He said: “Ya-Sin. By the wise Quran, you are truly among the messengers, upon a straight path.”
