If the beneficiary brands the declarant a liar, the admission is void, and the declarant may thereafter deal with the property he had acknowledged as he wishes.
Section
An admission made to another man’s slave is treated as an admission to the slave’s master; likewise, an admission made to a mosque, a cemetery, a roadway, or the like is valid even when expressed in absolute terms.
An admission to a specific house or to an animal¹ is not valid unless the reason is specified. An admission in favor of a fetus² is void if the child is born dead or if no pregnancy existed; but if one live child—or more—is born, the property passes to it/them in equal shares.
Should a man or a woman acknowledge a marital bond with the other, and the other party either remains silent or first denies it and later confirms it, the admission is valid and they inherit from one another. It is not valid, however, if the denial continues until death.
